Assistant Professor of Environmental Sciences

My research focuses on water quality issues as they relate to stream ecology and public health. I specialize in the use of aquatic insects and other macroinvertebrates to determine stream health.  Water quality parameters such as pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, temperature, E. coli, turbidity, nutrients, metals and algae are also analyzed in my lab.

I also teach the following courses:

EN 100 - Introduction to Environmental Science

BY 101 - Introductory Biology I

BY 103 - Honors Biology

BY 104 - Principles of Biology

BY 308 - Seminar in Biology
