The University of West Alabama (UWA) and Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to create a streamlined transfer pathway for students pursuing careers in environmental science and conservation.
At its quarterly meeting held in December, the University Board of Trustees approved a change of name for the Ira D. Pruitt Division of Nursing to the Ira D. Pruitt College of Nursing.
The McMillan Bank Building, which has served the community of Livingston for over 120 years, is now the Black Belt Development Center.

Catalina Casaru first set foot in the United States as a determined high school student eager to make her mark in competitive swimming. Today, she is a dual citizen of the U.S. and Romania and an associate professor of Exercise Science at the University of West Alabama.
