The University of West Alabama has joined with AT&T and Alabama Power Company to announce the slate of speakers and featured panelists for the Alabama Summit on Rural Innovation and Entrepreneurship, set for Friday, April 17, at Bell Conference Center on the UWA campus. The event features a stellar slate of entrepreneurs who bring unique perspectives to address rural Alabama’s need for building an economic development and entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The University of West Alabama launched its revitalized music major this fall, bringing opportunities for students with a broad range of music interests to prepare for occupations and activities. The University of West Alabama has been awarded a $2.5 million grant by the U.S. Department of Labor and the Delta Regional Authority to expand the impact of workforce development efforts through the Workforce Opportunity for Rural Communities initiative.
