As a UWA Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences (BES) student, you are our prominent advocate and play an essential role in our future. By referring a high school family member or friend to our department, you will help them achieve their professional goals and support our growth and tradition of academic excellence.

Do you know a high school student interested in attending college?

Do you know a high school student who would like to be a physician, dentist, or veterinarian?

Do you know a high school student who likes nature and loves the outdoors?

If you do, help these students achieve their goals and get cash rewards (up to $1,000 per year) for the successful referrals.

How does it work?

  • Complete the referral form indicating your name and UWA email address (non-UWA email addresses will not be eligible for the rewards).
  • All required information in the referral form about the potential student(s), up to 10 referrals per year, must be completed.
  • Once one or more referred students contact us by email (mmorsy@uwa.edu) for more information about the BES programs within 30 days of your submission, you will earn $5 (up to $50 per year).
  • If the prospective referred student(s) visits the UWA campus for a tour, you earn an additional $20 per student (up to $200 per year). The tour must be scheduled and attended within three months of your submission. Tour must be scheduled at https://www.uwa.edu/visit and verified by the Office of Admissions.
  • When the prospective-referred student(s) enrolls in one of the UWA BES undergraduate programs and satisfactorily completes their first term, you will get an additional $75 (up to $750 per year). The student(s) must enroll within the subsequent academic year for you to be eligible for the payment. It is easy to recommend a friend or family member to UWA BES; all you have to do is complete the online form and follow up with them.

Who can enter?

The referral program is open to all students currently enrolled in UWA and are in good academic and financial standing with the university.

What should I do to help a student enroll and get my rewards?
