Qualifications:

Required:

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited College or University.
  • 10 years of experience in International Education.
  • Demonstrated experience with and understanding of international admissions and recruitment.
  • Demonstrated experience working with international recruiting agencies.
  • Demonstrated experience with SEVIS and USCIS policies and regulations.

Desired:

  • Fluency in three or more languages.
  • Experience in leadership roles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for international admissions and programs in alignment with UWA’s enrollment and internationalization goals.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for international partnerships, collaborations, and exchanges to enhance UWA’s global presence and diversity.

International Admissions:

  • Collaborate with the Dean of International Programs and Senior Leadership to shape the application review process and actively participate in application review.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract a diverse and qualified pool of international students.
  • Collaborate with UWA departments to ensure efficient and effective admission processes for international students.

Program Development & Management:

  • Assist in the development and administration of international exchange programs, study abroad programs, and other international initiatives.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to develop and promote international academic programs, including dual-degree programs, faculty-led trips, and international research opportunities.

Partnership Development:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with international universities, organizations, and institutions for collaboration, exchange, and partnership opportunities.
  • Negotiate and manage Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) and partnership agreements with international counterparts.

Student Support & Services:

  • Provide guidance and support to international students throughout the admissions process, including advising on application requirements, academic planning, and visa procedures.
  • Collaborate with UWA departments to ensure the provision of pre-departure and on-site support services for international students.

Marketing & Promotion:

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote international programs, opportunities, and admissions to prospective international students, faculty, and stakeholders.
  • Represent UWA at international conferences, fairs, and events to enhance visibility and attract prospective international partners and students.
