Qualifications

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Excellent management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to meet established deadlines and work effectively with diverse groups of internal and external constituents.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, communicate, and adhere to UWA, Gulf South Conference, and NCAA policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively with student-athletes, coaches, athletic staff, University personnel, and alumni. 
  • Ability to work efficiently in a stressful and demanding environment.
  • Ability to travel and work on weekends when necessary.
  • Work on traditional holidays as sports schedules dictate.

Desired:

  • Two to three years of successful football operations experience, preferably at the collegiate level. 
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, HUDL, and Adobe Creative Suite. 

Responsibilities 

  • Organization and management of the football office, equipment, video, team travel, budgeting and business reports, special events, and summer football camps.
  • Organizing and overseeing all student workers, including: Work-study office employees, equipment staff, and video staff.
  • Managing each home and away travel itinerary, travel roster, hotel listing, menus, charter manifests, and will travel as the advance team contact to each game site to ensure a smooth transition when the team and coaches arrive.
  • Monitor NCAA and UWA compliance performance issues including eligibility, recruiting, playing and practice issues, student-athlete employment, special assistant funds, Pell Grants, and weekly NCAA compliance paperwork/logs.
  • Interact with offices within the athletic department as needed, such as: Compliance, Marketing, Media Relations and Learning Resources. Interact with offices on campus as needed, such as: Business Office, Housing, Dining Services, Student Services, and Accounts Payable. 
  • Assist the Head Football Coach with the management of the recruiting travel budget, non-recruiting travel budget, and summer football camp budget. 
  • Assist Head Football Coach with special events, such as but not limited to: Football Alumni Events, Pro-Day, Player-Parent Events, and any other responsibilities deemed necessary by the Head Football Coach.
  • Other work-related duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
