Description
The Coordinator of Clinical Experiences is a twelve-month staff position responsible for coordinating all clinical experiences and internship placements for on-campus and online students in the College of Education. In addition to field placement duties, the Coordinator will carry the rank of instructor and will teach a three-semester-hour course load each Fall, Spring, and Summer term.
Duties of the Coordinator of Clinical Experiences:
- Coordinate all clinical experiences and internship placements for on-campus and online students in the College of Education.
- Serve as UWA edTPA Coordinator.
- Maintain Tevera software for clinical applications, placements, and general reporting.
- Work closely with Partnership School superintendents and principals, COE Dean, Certification Officer, CAEP Coordinator, and Director of Assessment and Evaluation to ensure that students meet the minimum qualifications for their teaching internships.
- Maintain records related to clinical and internship placements necessary for ALSDE and CAEP documentation. Stay up to date with ALSDE Administrative Code requirements.
- Maintain a database of all Partnership Schools. Assess the needs of partnership schools annually.
- Annually assess Partnerships Schools needs and prepares report to be distributed to COE faculty.
- Maintain the most recent information regarding edTPA. Import student scores when reported. Enter Foundations of Reading 190 scores into TSUM (Colleague).
- Assign and oversee edTPA Content Specialists who work closely with University Supervisors to ensure the success of interns.
- Review test scores and student progress to determine internship eligibility. Communicate requirements with students throughout the internship application process.
- Plan and coordinate events for cooperating teachers and interns each semester and the annual meeting with Partnership School superintendents.
- Work closely with UA/UWA In-service Center.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Dean or Certification Officer.
FLSA: Exempt

Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in a teacher education field.
- Ability to work closely with K-12 teachers, principals, and superintendents in UWA partnership schools.
- Ability to provide supervision and support to students.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Exceptional ability to organize.
- Knowledge of current educational research, trends, and issues.
- Excellent management and public relations skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
