Key dates for applying include:

  • For the fall semester, priority is given to transfer students that apply for housing by March 1st. Transfer students may still apply for housing for the fall semester after March 1st, but space will be limited.
  • Transfer students that plan to begin spring semester should apply for housing by November 15th. Transfer students that plan to live on campus during the summer semester should apply for housing by May 1st.

Transfer students that have earned less than 24 credits are required to live at Gilbert Hall their first year. Students that earned college credit prior to graduating from high school (dual enrollment, advanced placement, etc.), and that have earned less than 48 semester credits where more than 50% of the college credits were earned prior to graduating from high school, are required to live at Gilbert Hall during their first year of full-time enrollment at UWA. Otherwise, transfer students have their choice of other on- or off-campus housing.

Housing applications are available on the UWA MyHousing portal.
