FI340 Equity Investments 

3 Credits

Role of securities markets in economic life, with attention to types of securities, purchase and sale of securities, factors influencing market price and the relation of stock speculation to the banking system and general economic conditions. Prerequisite: “C” or higher in FI300. 

FI410 Monetary Theory and Policy  

3 Credits

Analysis of the origin and role of money as well as money supply. The course also examines the effects of monetary policy on the economy using money demand and money supply models. Prerequisite: “C” or higher in FI300. 

FI450 International Financial Statement Analysis 

3 Credits

Analysis of financial statements from a global perspective, with a primary focus on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The tools of financial statement analysis will be used to evaluate companies and ultimately to make decisions regarding debt and equity investments. Prerequisite: “C” or higher in FI 300.
