Adjunct Professor

Position:  Adjunct instructors in the disciplines of accounting, computer information systems, economics, finance, management, marketing, homeland security, operations research and quantitative analysis, research methods, and statistics for teaching online, virtual courses.

Effective Date:  As needed



  1. Doctoral or terminal degree in discipline or a closely-related field from a regionally accredited institution.  Programmatic accreditation from AACSB, ACBSP, IACBE, or ABET is highly desirable.
  2. Strong commitment to classroom environment.
  3. Ability to work successfully with diverse populations in the regional university setting.
  4. A minimum of 18 graduate semester hours within the specific teaching discipline is mandatory.
  5. Background with on-line, virtual learning environments.
  6. Practical knowledge of Blackboard learning systems.


  1. Successful teaching experience at the college level.
  2. Interest in computer-enhanced instruction.
  3. Demonstrated potential in research and publication.
  4. A minimum of five years of practical experience is desirable.
  5. Practical knowledge of Blackboard learning systems.


  1. Teach up to two courses in discipline per term (online).
  2. Teach other courses for which qualified when assigned, on-campus or online.

Rank and Salary: Adjunct Instructor; salary is static per course.
