UWA recognizes academic achievement, leadership on Honors Day
The University of West Alabama recognizes students for academic achievement and leadership each spring on Honors Day. Traditionally, the event is held on campus, with students celebrating the day surrounded by friends, family, and faculty. Set for April 15, the annual Honors Day convocation was canceled in response to COVID-19 social distancing guidelines in place.
The Honors Day convocation is the formal recognition ceremony for students inducted into honor societies and other academic and leadership organizations chartered on campus. In addition, each academic college or division presents its University Scholars awards.
