The Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering Technology degree prepares students to use basic and advanced knowledge of computer information systems and engineering principles. The program also discusses the overview of cybersecurity and related issues, secure network infrastructure, operating systems, risk management and hacking prevention techniques. 

The degree program includes instruction in networking, cybersecurity, ethical hacking, Internet of Things (IoT), cyber-security risk, mathematics, computer electronics, computer programming, system installations, testing, solid state, circuitry, peripheral equipment and report preparation. 

The Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering Technology degree can prepare you for a career in a variety of Computer Information fields, Electronics Technology, Computer Services, Computer Networks, Server Maintenances, Cybersecurity Analyst, Programming and other areas requiring knowledge of electronic and computer systems. CET215 PC Maintenance and Support

3 Credits

This course provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to acquire an entry level position as PC Technicians or IT Professionals. Material covers topics from the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) A+ certification exam.  

CET285 Network Maintenance and Support

3 Credits

This course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform entry level tasks of Network Technicians or Network Administrators. The material will include topics covered by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) Network+ certification exam.  

CET300 Programming I

3 Credits

The introductory computer programming course for CIS majors. Current programming concepts and program development principles and practices. The basic constructs of the programming languages are covered. Hands-on programming using microcomputers. Prerequisite: “C” or higher in MH113 or higher.
